Tim Higham (Lab PI)
Tim received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2006 (with Peter Wainwright). He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Andy Biewener at Harvard University from 2006 to 2008. Following three years as an Assistant Professor at Clemson University, Tim moved to UC Riverside, where he is now a Full Professor. Reach Tim by email: thigham@ucr.edu

Marina Vollin (PhD student)
Marina was an undergraduate at the University of California, Davis and worked as a herpetology curation intern and preparator
Since starting her PhD in the Fall of 2019, Marina studies the role of gecko tail autotomy in prey capture and locomotion, and the ecological and biomechanical consequences of tail loss. She is particularly enthusiastic about museum science, specimen-based research, and public outreach.
Seth Shirazi (PhD student)
Seth was an undergraduate at the University of Oregon where he studied biology with an emphasis on marine biology. Since joining the lab in the Fall of 2021, Seth has focused on the biomechanics and genetics of predator-prey interactions in fishes. He has worked primarily with threespine stickleback and largemouth bass.
